Beckett Structural Ltd collects, uses and is responsible for certain personal information about you. - Any other third party (For example, architects or engineers.)

The type of personal information we collect from other sources will vary depending on your instructions but may include the information listed above under the heading “information we collect”

How we use your personal information:

We use your personal information to carry out your instructions. This includes advising you and acting on your behalf.

Whether information has to be provided by you and if so why:

Personal information is required from you to enable us to carry out our contract with you. We will inform you at the point of collecting the information if you are legally obliged to provide information to us.

Who we share your personal information with:

We routinely share your personal information with the following third parties:

- Our accountant for the purpose of preparing our annual accounts and any future VAT returns. Information provided relates only to your personal details such as name and contact details.

- Local authorities and their authorised agents, for the purposes of carrying out your instructions where they require interaction with statutory bodies.

-  Building control bodies if required as part of our instruction.

-  HM revenue and customs, our regulator, or other authorities if required by applicable law.


- Other third parties, where sharing your personal information is necessary to carry out your instructions.

We will not share your personal information with any other third-party without your consent.

How long your personal information will be kept:

We have a duty to hold your personal information for six years from the date your matter concludes. After this time we have no duty to hold your information but may be transferred to our archives unless you specifically ask us to destroy your file by writing to us.

Reasons we can collect and use your personal information:

We will typically collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:

- For the performance of our contract with you, or to take steps to enter such a contract.

- For compliance with legal obligation to which we are subject (Including any obligations imposed upon us by our regulator)

- For the purpose of our legitimate interests or those of a third party, but only if these are not overridden by your interests. Our legitimate interests are that you are a client of ours and we are required to carry out your instructions and acting in your best interest.

Where we collect and use more sensitive personal information we will do so for the purpose of your instructions.

- Access to your personal information and to certain other supplementary information that this privacy notice is already designated to address.

- Fair processing of information and transparency over how we use your personal information.

-  Received the personal information concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format and have the right to transmit those data to a third party in certain situations.

-  Object at any time to processing of personal information concerning you for direct marketing.

-  Object to decisions being taken by automated means which produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

-  Object in certain other situations to our continued processing of your personal information.

-  Otherwise restrict our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Keeping your personal information secure:

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.
